Please fix

I run an iPad with a maximum update of 5.1.1(old, I know) astounded that this game that my friend showed me is perfect for me and can actually run on my ancient iPad. However, Ive come to find that it wont even start despite meeting the system requirements. I try to restart my iPad, wont work, reinstalled the application 4 more times before giving up. I have tried playing on airplane mode as well just in case there was an issue loading something that involved the network and still not working. If this could be fixed, it would be greatly appreciated. Im sure I cant be the only one to have met this problem.
